Our south-facing kitchen garden, originally established in Victorian times and reinstated in more recent years, features tiered sections, all enclosed with Yorkshire stone walls.
The Kitchen Garden at The Devonshire Arms Hotel
The kitchen team sources fresh seasonal produce from a variety of wildflowers, herbs, fruits, and vegetables grown in our garden. This not only meets the kitchen’s needs but also provides a lovely space for guests to enjoy. Visitors are encouraged to admire the garden and can find plenty of seating to relax or have a picnic when the weather is nice.

Our Produce
Favourites grown here in the summer season include heritage tomatoes, bronze fennel, lemon sorrel, baby beets, rocket, blackcurrants, strawberries, and cucumbers.

Green Tourism Awards
We’re passionate about protecting the environment. That’s why we won gold in the Green Tourism Awards. A big part of our commitment is looking for new and creative ways to enhance our dedicated recycling programme for the well-being of our environment.
