A talented and dedicated Chef, Sean has worked his way up the ranks at The Devonshire Arms. Beginning as a Chef de Partie in June 2009, he was promoted to Sous Chef in August 2010, then Senior Sous Chef in September 2014. Today, Sean is Head Chef in our AA Rosette award-winning Brasserie.
With over 20 years experience, Sean’s culinary career began at Headley’s Restaurant, Keighley, in 1996, and he stayed until it closed in 2005. He then moved on to the Old Tramshed in Saltaire, before joining The Devonshire in the summer of 2009.
Sean offers a non-fussy approach when it comes to dining, often favouring simple, hearty dishes – perfect for any occasion. Citing Good British and French Classic food as inspiration for his dishes, Sean prefers Gastro pub style over fine dining and bears this in mind while creating the menu.
Being from Yorkshire, Sean is passionate about using only the freshest, high quality ingredients from the county, and when he can’t find an ingredient from the Devonshire Kitchen Garden, he will source it from a local supplier.
